Oceanside Gallery has been fortunate to obtain these five charming Native American images from the estate of Richard Talbot Kelly. They have the artist initial signature and are certified as original by the artist's son Giles Talbot Kelly.

The drawings are done in ink and watercolor on toned paper and measure approximately 7 3/4 X 10 1/2". They are in the original frames but the matting has been replaced with Bainbridge Alpharag with Artcare. The glazing has been replaced with uv filtered glass.

The price for the collection is $2,100.00 or $450.00 each

Richard Talbot Kelly was a painter of landscapes, figurative subjects and birds. He was the son of painter Robert Talbot Kelly, RI.

He was educated at Rugby Public School and the Royal Military Academy - Woolwich. He served in the Royal Artillery from 1915 to 1925 and was in France from 1915 to 1918 and India from 1919 to 1922.

He exhibited at the Royal Academy, the Royal Institute, the Paris Salon and widely in the provinces.

Richard Talbot Kelly was elected to the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours in 1924.

He published "The Way of Birds" 1937, "Bird Life and the Painter" and many other works.

He was for some years the Art Master at Rugby School.
