Sandy’s paintings explore shapes and the effects of light, color and texture. She says, ”I love to play with the edges of light coming together, how shadow and light flow together.”

She often paints “en plein aire” but does not attempt realistic portrayals. But rather, she seeks to capture fleeting feelings and emotions of her experience in a blending of impressionistic and expressionistic styles.

Sandy divides her time between Hope and Belmar, New Jersey. She is currently renovating an older home.
